Co-founder of the CRCT, Professor Christopher Bale has devoted his entire career to the development of "FactSage", which is one of the thermodynamic software/database packages used widely in high temperature processes, and to the education of the industrial and academic communities in the applications of thermodynamic calculations to industrial high temperature processes.

Co-founder of the CRCT and of FactSage. Professor of Chemical Metallurgy at Ecole Polytechnique since 1974. Currently Emeritus Professor, but he still works full time (almost).

Curriculum Vitae



Liling Jin is currently working on the thermodynamic aspects of
LiFePO4 batteries as a research associate.
She received her B. Sc and M. Sc in Department of Metallurgical
Engineering of University of Science and Technology Beijing
(USTB), China; obtained her Ph. D (2012) in Chemical Engineering
of Polytechnique Montréal (University of Montréal, Canada).
Her Ph. D project was entitled "thermodynamic studies of
Al-Mg-Rare Earth systems" under supervision of Prof. Patrice
Chartrand.

- Thermodynamic modeling and phase equilibria of metallic and oxide systems
- Rare earth metals
- Li battery

Eve Bélisle has been working as a research associate at the CRCT since 2002. She is one of the programmers developping the FactSage Software. In 2015, she completed her MPhil of Computer Science at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.
